Hydrobe® is a world-changing innovation that harnesses the power of a microbiology to consume the emissions of heavy industries and recycle the carbon into high-value by-products such as hydrogen, fertilisers, oils and syngas. The founders, Duncan Anderson and Brent Bonadeo, engaged Likeable Creative to create a brand identity, website, and presentation materials so that they could take their breakthrough patented technology to potential industry partners, investors and customers.
We designed a logo device that visually represented microbes forming a letter H, teamed with typography that was both friendly in feel and evocative of a tech innovator. The name combines the words “Hydrogen” and “Microbe”.
We wrote, designed and built the website to quickly communicate to potential partners and customers the magnitude of the scientific breakthrough that allows the world’s smallest organisms to help solve the world’s biggest problem. The website communicates the main 6 key points that investors and the world’s largest emitting industries want to know in a single scrolling home page. Visitors to the website can then drill down to investigate the science and learn more.
Besides doing their web design, we edited a video to quickly tell the story of how Hydrobe, together with research and development partners at Curtin University, have tested and proven the process at lab scale and are now ready to prototype at commercial scale.
